Strike Back! Rally on December 20, 2025, 11am @ Victory Square
Posted on behalf of the CUPW 846 Organizing Committee and the East Van Workers Assembly
On Saturday, December 20th, 11 AM @ Victory Square, Downtown Vancouver, we invite you to join in the effort to unite labour to take a stance against section 107 and all government interference in labour disputes. Mobilize your union and coworkers to join us on the 20th!
RALLY TO STRIKE BACK! When the working class is under attack… stand up, Strike Back!
The Organizing Committee of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers Local 846 and East Van Workers Assembly are proud to co-host this rally to mark the anniversary of the Section 107 back-to-work order used by Canada Post and the federal government to crush CUPW’s national strike last December.
This event flows from the urgent need to unite labour against all attempts to intervene and constrain our ability to organize and fight. Even under unionized conditions, the balance of power between employers and workers heavily favours the bosses. In order to defend our jobs, our families, and our lives, new waves of struggle are necessary!
The Rally to Strike Back will feature speakers from CUPW 846 (Vancouver), ILWU Canada, Teamsters Canada Rail Conference 945, CUPE 5536, BCGEU, VDLC, BCFed and more! Tell your co-workers, mobilize your unions, and this December 20th let’s stand shoulder to shoulder to declare that when workers’ rights are under attack… the working class will always strike back!
If you have questions about the rally, please don’t hesitate to contact us at instruggleunited@gmail.com
In militant solidarity,
Miguel
