ILWU Canada Young Workers Conference, Sept 10-12
ILWU Canada is hosting our 6th Bi-Annual three-day Young Workers Conference this year from September 10 to 12, 2025 with the theme “United in Struggle”. It will be held at the Maritime Labour Centre, 1880 Triumph St, Vancouver. This Conference is an opportunity for ILWU young workers to explore our Union’s role in the labour movement, learn about the history of our struggles as workers, discuss international solidarity, and develop organizing and advocacy skills. All Members and Casuals aged 35 and under from ILWU Canada Locals are welcome to apply. The deadline to apply is June 16, 2025.

Once applications close, Locals will be given a list of applicants from which they will determine who will be attending the Conference according to each Local’s eligible delegate allocation. Applicants should be notified in July-August if they have been accepted as a delegate. We are asking that delegates commit to attending the entire conference (all three days) if accepted. As a Union, we are investing in our young workers and, in return, we expect them to show up and participate fully.
